Our First Aid for Sports course FAFS is tailored for coaches, personal trainers, players and parents that actively get involved in sports and would like to enhance their knowledge in First Aid.
We deliver a one day training in which we will deliver the knowledge and skills to manage from the most serious medical emergencies to the management of the most common injuries.
We will give you a run through your first aid kit and we will prepare you to contact the emergency services with the right information.
The one day course will cover:
-Entering the pitch.
-Immediate assessment of the injured player DRABC
-Adult and Paediatric BLS and use of the AED
-The unconscious casualty
-Moving an injured player
-Management of shock: bleeding and anaphylaxis
-Common medical emergencies: Asthma, Choking, Diabetes, Heart Attack & Epilepsy
-Musculoskeletal system injuries: Fractures, dislocations and sprains.
-Head and Spinal injuries
-Contacting the emergency services.
This a full day course, presence during all the lectures is needed to receive a certificate at the end of the day.
